The Jayhawk Track & Field teams opened up their outdoor season at the Oakland Invite.There were 16 teams in attendance ranging from D1-Juco.

The Jayhawks opened with 4 school records and 1 national qualifier. This is the 6th straight season spanning back to fall of 2022 with at least 1 national qualifier per season. For the Men’s team, Kyler Dean (Vicksburg) broke the school record in the 1500m and is currently ranked 27th in the nation.

On the Women’s side Natalie Erickson (Montague) broke the school record in the women’s 100m (12.88) and the 200m (26.6).

With the large mount of PRs and School records, we also recorded 12 top 40 in the country marks: for the men in the javelin, 200m, 1500m, discus 800m and for the women in the 100, 3 marks in the womens hammer, 3 marks in the womens discus.

The Jayhawks look to build on this performance as they prep for a 2 day meet at Western Michigan University on Friday 4/12 & Saturday 4/13.
