The Jayhawk Softball Team won both games of a doubleheader at Grace Christian University, 17-1 and 2-1.

In the opener Hannah Aldred (Grand Haven) pitched 7 innings and allowed 1 run on 6 hits with 5 strikeouts. Andrea Romero (Oakridge) was 3-4 and 2 RBI, Rachel Romero (Hesperia) was 2-3 with a double and a home run and Brooklyn Galdeen (Oakridge) was 2-5 with 2 home runs and 3 RBI’s. Lilli Goodrich (Ludington) was also 2-5.

Goodrich took the mound in game 2 in a pitcher’s dual. She worked 5 innings and allowed 1 run on 1 hit with 6 strikeouts. Jasmine Pastor (Oakridge) was 1-2 with an RBI.

MCC’s record stands at 5-7 on the early season. They will host Aquinas College JV on Saturday, 3/23 for a doubleheader with first pitch scheduled for 1:00 pm.
