The Muskegon Community College Softball team picked up two more wins, 10-4 and 11-7 over the JV team from Cornerstone University.
Hannah Aldred (Grand Haven) got the start in the circle for the Jayhawks in game one. She pitched all 7 innings allowing 4 runs on 7 hits with 3 strikeouts. Illeana Hatcher (Whitehall) was 3-3, Willo Staal (Fruitport) was 3-5 with a home run and 3 RBI and Jasmine Pastor (Oakridge) was 2-4.
In the nightcap Brooklyn Galdeen (Oakridge) picked up the win with help from Lilli Goodrich (Ludington). Galdeen worked 3.2 innings giving up 5 runs on 8 hits. Goodrich threw 3.1 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits. Pastor was 3-4, Andrea Romero (Oakridge) and Rachel Romero (Hesperia) were both 2-3 and Willo Staal (Fruitport) was 2-4 with 2 doubles.
The Jayhawks are now 7-1 in conference play and 14-8 overall. They go to Grand Rapids Community College to face the Raiders on Friday, 4/12 with first pitch at 2:00 pm.
