The Jayhawk Softball team beat Mid Michigan College twice at home, 4-3 and 8-0 (5 innings).

In the opener Brooklyn Galdeen (Oakridge) got the start on the mound. She pitched a complete game giving up 3 runs on 7 hits with 8 strikeouts. Olive Staal (Fruitport) was 2-3 and Jasmine Pastor (Oakridge) was also 2-3 including a double and a home run.

Lilli Goodrich (Ludington) threw a shutout in the nightcap. She allowed only 2 hits with 4 strikeouts. Olive Staal finished was 2-2 with a double and Andrea Romero (Oakridge) and Willo Staal (Fruitport) were both 2-3.

MCC is now 7-1 in conference play and 12-8 overall. They will host Cornerstone JV on Tuesday, 4/9 with a 3:00 pm start time.
