The Jayhawk Baseball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader with Mid Michigan College, 9-6 and 14-4.
In the opener Carter Hughes (Zeeland West) finished 3-4 and Nate Lovell (Tri-County) was 1-4.
In game 2 Christian Hoffman (Heritage) started on the mound for the Jayhawks. He worked 6 innings and gave up 9 runs (3 earned) on 12 hits with 7 strikeouts. MCC put up 11 hits with Hughes, Austin Fowler (Holton), Dayton Thomas (Ravenna) and Brett Hunter (Kelloggsville) each with 2 hits.
MCC is now 2-6 in conference play and 3-14 overall. They travel to face Davenport University’s JV team on Wednesday, 4/10 in a single 9 inning game. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
