Women’s Basketball at Calvin University JV
The Jayhawk Women’s Basketball team lost a road game to the JV team at Calvin University, 65-54. The Jayhawks struggled right from the opening tip to pick to get into their offensive rhythm. Calvin outscored MCC 21-14 in the 1st quarter but the Jayhawks cut into the lead and trailed by 4 going into half time. The Jayhawk Men’s Basketball team defeated the Calvin University JV team 80-62 on the road to snap their 3 game losing streak. MCC’s defense held Calvin to 25 first half points while the offense enjoyed a productive half by scoring 51. The Jayhawks cooled off somewhat in the 2nd half but Calvin couldn’t make much headway into the big lead and the Jayhawks cruised to their first road win of the season.
