Fun Activities Set for Fifth Annual Community Family Fest June 6
The Fifth Annual MCC Community Family Fest returns to the Muskegon Lake shoreline on Saturday, June 6, 2020 when residents of all ages can enjoy fun and educational activities. The event, which is free and open to the public, runs from noon to 3 p.m. at the MCC Lakeshore Fitness Center, 900 W. Western Ave., in Muskegon.
“This is an opportunity for families to come and enjoy games, arts and crafts, receive free giveaways, win prizes, eat great food and participate in group activities for the whole family,” explained Trynette Lottie-Harps, dean of community outreach at the college. “We are grateful for the support we get each year and this a way for us to show our appreciation to the community.”
Among the fun activities being planned for the youngsters are bouncy houses, train rides, face painting, corn hole, make-and-take crafts, games, chalk art, gaga ball, a free book giveaway, and much more.
The whole family can participate in fitness center tours, obstacle courses, family-friendly Zumba and Tai Chi exercises, fowling – which combines football and bowling, cardio-pound drumming, massages, onsite body scans, and meeting with Jay, the MCC Jayhawk mascot. There will be a picnic with free food and music.
