CFFMC 2014-15 Scholarships Available to MCC Students

The Community Foundation for Muskegon County (CFFMC) has announced that its Foundation Scholarship Program for Muskegon, Oceana, Mason and Manistee counties is currently accepting applications for the 2014-15 academic year. The CFFMC administers more than 275 scholarship funds, including 13 earmarked for Muskegon Community College students, as well as hundreds of awards for graduating high school seniors and current college students.

Applications are available to be submitted electronically at the Community Foundation website: www.cffmc.org. The online application deadline is March 1, 2014. MCC students who complete the application will be considered for all of the CFFMC scholarships.

The Community Foundation does not make awards solely on the basis of need. Academic achievement, community involvement, extracurricular activities and financial need are all taken into consideration. All Community Foundation scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis. For more Information, call Dana Scott, CFFMC Scholarship Coordinator, at (231) 332-4104

The 13 MCC scholarships include the inaugural FMCC General Scholarship Fund, funded through the college’s Annual Jayhawk Scramble and individual donations. The first-ever recipients for this award will be selected in Spring 2014.
