Overbrook Players Presenting ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ Through Sunday

MCC’s Overbrook Theater will have love in the air when the Overbrook Players open William Shakespeare’s great romantic comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, on Wednesday, Feb. 13, just in time for Valentine’s Day. The show runs Wednesday through Saturday, Feb. 13–16 at 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 for the public and $5 for MCC students.

The audience will enter the magical world of the fairies and discover if it’s true whether “the course of true love never did run smooth.” The story begins in the formal palace of the Duke of Athens, but soon travels to the forests outside of the city on a night where anything might, and does, happen. Join the journey of runaway lovers as they enter the strange and dark world of the woods and “see what fools these mortals be.”

The all-MCC student cast includes: Colton Hall, Victoria Grant, Clayton Cudney, Sabryna Davis, Jerod Peterson, Dustin Day, Anthony Corder, Erin Mickelson, Austin Howard, Tre Perry, Andrew Steward, Michael Pollock, Tre Denton, Jordan Potter, Michelle Mikaela Taylor, Lindsay Lee, Brandi Tucker, Kristina Bowden, Morgan Winskas, and Tyler Wehner.

The play is directed by Tom Harryman and features designs and production work by Harryman, Sheila Wahamaki, Brian Goodman, Kelly Knoll, and Nikki Foster. Mike Munson is the student assistant director and production stage manager.
