Overbrook Theater Auditioning for Tartuffe

Auditions for the MCC Overbrook Theater presentation of Moliere’s Tartuffe will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 28-29, beginning at 6 p.m. in Overbrook Theater.

A great comic farce, Tartuffe is as relevant and biting today as when it was first performed and subsequently banned by the French King Louis XIV in 1664. Moliere’s famous satire of false piety is the Overbrook’s selection for this year’s AHFest theme of “Faith and Reason.”

Auditions will be held for the roles of Orgon, Tartuffe, Valere, Madame Pernelle, Elmire, Dorine, Cleante, Mariane, Damis, Laurent, Argas, Flipote, Monsieur Loyal, and a King’s Officer.

The play will be performed Oct. 16-19 at 7:30pm and on Oct.20 at 3 p.m. For more information, call (231) 777-0324.
