ReunionFest to Bring MCC Alumni Back to Campus Oct. 20

Muskegon Community College graduates returning to campus on Saturday, Oct. 20, will be treated to an afternoon and evening featuring planetarium shows, campus tours, archive photo displays, dinner and an opportunity to see the student play, The Adding Machine, in Overbrook Theater.

The second annual ReunionFest, an event designed for MCC alumni from the first class years to those who graduated this past April, will take place on campus from 4-8 p.m.

“ReunionFest is unique because we want all graduates back on campus,” says Julie Weller, MCC Alumni Relations Manager. “Although the College has had many reunions in the past, they have always been geared toward certain graduation years.

“Our smaller group class reunions of the past have always been popular, but ReunionFest is intended to reach out to all of our alumni, and give them a chance not only to catch up with friends and former classmates, but maybe network a little, have some fun and see MCC’s growth and renovations.”

For those hoping to see former classmates, Collegiate Hall will have designated gathering areas for alumni by decade.

“We want bring alumni back to MCC to reminisce and also see how far we’ve come since they attended classes here,” says Weller. “It’s all about great memories and reconnecting with friends.”

The $10 per person charge benefits the MCC Alumni Association and covers all activities except the optional student play, which is an additional $5 per person. Those who RSVP or register online before Oct. 8 will be eligible to win a $100 Barnes & Noble gift card. Register online at: www.muskegoncc.edu/reunion, or call (231) 777-0461 to reserve a spot.
