Head Coach – Josh Watson

Josh Watson brings enthusiasm and expertise to the new women’s soccer program at Muskegon Community College. He is a high-energy, dependable, loyal and enthusiastic coach. Coach Watson is known as someone who encourages positive attitudes and motivates his players to maximize their potential. His experience stems from being a first team all-state player in high school, playing at Western Michigan University and coaching for nineteen years through various organizations.

Coach Watson holds a USSF National D License. He received his degree in Exercise Physiology from Central Michigan University in 2002 which assists in his training and mentoring capabilities.

Coach Watson’s coaching record includes a first district title for Goodrich High School Boys Soccer team in 1998 and leading the Goodrich High School Girls Varsity team to their first District Title and Regional appearance. He also coaches club soccer for West Michigan Storm and Lakeshore Premier.

He currently works at Access Health in Muskegon as a wellness coach.

 

Assistant Coach – Brent Kowalski

Brent founded Heart Academy in 2012. As a player growing up he had the opportunity to compete against some of the highest ranking soccer clubs throughout the state of Michigan. As a coach and trainer his passion and love for the game goes uncontested. Brent holds a USSF “C” license and a NSCAA National Diploma and has worked with some of the best teams and players (ranging from Select to MRL).
