Women’s Basketball at Kirtland Community College
The Jayhawk Women’s Basketball team handed the Kirtland Community College team a 78-34 defeat on the road. MCC found themselves down 13-11 after the 1st quarter but exploded for 25 2nd quarter points as they held Kirtland to 9. MCC enjoyed a 36-22 edge at the half and they continued to score at will as they cruised to the easy win. Men’s Basketball at Kirtland Community College
The Jayhawk Men’s Basketball team bounced back for a 75-45 victory at Kirtland Community College. MCC continued to struggle to score points early in the game, but their defense helped them to a 25-22 lead at the half. After some adjustments the Jayhawks came out and used their press to take a commanding lead. They outscored the Firebirds 49-23 in the 2nd half and cruised to the win.
