Shawn Watson expects big things from graduates of Grand Valley State University’s Muskegon Leadership Program. Watson, the director of GVSU’s Muskegon Regional Center, says the first group of students who completed the program and graduated last month already have some impressive achievements under their belts.

MCC and Kaufmannische Schule Stuttgart Nord (KSN), a technical college in Stuttgart, Germany, have been exchanging students and faculty for the last 16 years. The group from KSN, including both students and instructors, arrived in West Michigan on June 13 for an eight-day visit.

Much needed scholarship funds for MCC students have been supplemented by numerous event sponsors, golfers, and lunch attendees at this year’s event.

As part of its comprehensive public outreach program to inform residents about its facility needs and proposed solutions, Muskegon Community College is hosting a community town hall meeting on Tuesday, May 22, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in Stevenson Center Room 1100. The forum is free and open to the public.

The 48th annual Student Art Exhibition, a cornucopia of MCC student artistic talent, will be on display in the Overbrook Gallery through Sept. 12.The annual exhibition allows MCC art students the opportunity to present the sum of their work accomplished over the past three semesters.
