After 20 years of offering classes at Grand Haven High School, Muskegon Community College is opening a new center to expand services for Ottawa County residents. “This new facility is the next logical step to meeting growing needs in this area,” says MCC President Dale K. Nesbary, Ph.D.

MCC students who earned 30 or more credit hours but not an associate’s degree before transferring to Grand Valley State University may now have the opportunity to receive that degree. The presidents of the two institutions co-signed an agreement on Monday afternoon in MCC’s Stevenson Center that establishes a reverse transfer associate’s degree between the two schools.

Beginning this fall semester, MCC will offer two new degrees – the Associate in Manufacturing Engineering Technology and the Associate in Engineering – designed for students who wish either to enter the workforce after graduation or to continue their engineering education at a four-year institution.
