Baseball at Delta College-DH
The Jayhawk Baseball team lost twice at Delta College, 9-6 and 10-3 for a season split. In the opener MCC pitching gave up a total of 8 walks and the defense committed 4 errors. Javanni Johnson (Mona Shores) was 2-3 at the plate. Softball at Delta College
The MCC Softball team swept the season series from Delta College with 2 more wins, 4-1 in the opener and 10-5 in game 2. Brooklyn Galdeen (Oakridge) was a jack of all trades; she picked up the win on the mound and was 3-3 with a home run and 2 RBI at the plate. Baseball Home vs. Lansing Community College-1 game, 9 innings-Marsh Field (was 4/3)
The Muskegon Community College Baseball team dropped a 12-2 decision to Lansing Community College at historic Marsh Field Sunday, 4/21. MCC used four different pitchers in the game with Travis May (Ravenna) getting the loss. The Stars pitching allowed only 3 hits; Austin Fowler (Holton) and Mason Brunworth (Mona Shores) both doubled and Dayton Thomas (Ravenna) added a single. MCC will host Schoolcraft College on Tuesday, 4/23 with first pitch scheduled for 2:00 pm.
Golf-Muskegon Community College
The Muskegon Community College Men’s Golf team captured second place in their own invitational played at Stonegate Golf Course. GRCC finished 1st with a 322, MCC shot 329. Leading the way for the Jayhawks was Ben Zwick (Ludington) with a 79. He was followed by Dylan Lisman (Spring Lake) at 80, Mitch Taylor (Mona Shores) with an 83, Tyler Tallefson (Reeths-Puffer) at 87 and Dyllan Bazzett (Newaygo) with a 96. Baseball Home vs. Schoolcraft College-DH
The Jayhawk Baseball team split a doubleheader with Schoolcraft College. They lost the opener 10-4 but bounced back for a 8-5 victory in game 2. MCC is 4-12 in conference play and 6-25 overall. They travel to Alpena for a 4 game set with the Lumberjacks on Friday, 4/26 and Saturday, 4/27. First pitch on Friday is 2:00 pm.
