A groundbreaking ceremony for Muskegon Community College’s new Science Center will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at noon in the Stevenson Center courtyard on campus. The event is free and open to the public. Construction of the 19,192 sq. ft. structure will begin later in September, with the building set to open for classes in fall 2015

A high point of the year for the MCC Arts and Humanities Department, the Student Art and Design Exhibition celebrates its golden anniversary this year. The best of the exceptional artwork created by MCC’s art and graphic design students over the past academic year is on display in Overbrook Art Gallery through Sept. 10.

German students from the Muskegon Community College German Exchange program happened to be in Muskegon during the World Cup Germany vs. United States soccer game, and joined U.S. fans at Hennessey’s in downtown Muskegon. And guess what? Everyone got along! Read more here.

The Foundation for Muskegon Community College 2014 Jayhawk Scramble on June 13 at University Park Golf Course raised $12,850 for MCC scholarships thanks to generous and enthusiastic sponsors, benefactors and participants.
