MCC’s Sustainability Task Force is making a difference on campus with its ideas. Since the college installed five new “quad’ recycling bins in November, MCC employees and students have actively participated and now direct their waste products to recycling centers instead of landfills. Current or prospective Muskegon Community College students have until Friday, March 1, to submit their scholarships applications.MCC and the Foundation for Muskegon Community College work with generous friends, organizations, businesses, and academic departments to establish scholarships to help students achieve their educational goals. These scholarships provide financial assistance and recognize talent, leadership and academic excellence.

MCC offers FAFSA Fridays to give all potential college students and their parents free assistance in completing their Federal Student Aid forms. The event is open to the community. Regardless of whether you plan to attend a community college, private college or large university, stop by an upcoming FAFSA Friday session. They are held every Friday, between February 1 and March 22, in Room 116A.

Parents of college-aged students, whether they are considering a community college or a university, are invited to attend “The Next Big Step,” a free informational seminar at Muskegon Community College on Tuesday evening, Feb. 26, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Room 116.
