Muskegon Community College is celebrating Earth Week April 21-25 with a movie and discussion, displays, recycling of electronics, a campus clean-up, games and prizes.

Eric Howard, an MCC honor student and active campus leader, is one of only 20 college students nationwide to be named to the prestigious 2014 USA TODAY All-USA Community College Academic Team announced on April 8. The honorees, who were celebrated at a Washington, D.C. event, were chosen for their grades, academic rigor, growth and how well they have used their education to benefit their schools and communities.

The Muskegon Community College Wind and Jazz Ensembles will perform on Wednesday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Overbrook Theater. The concert is free and open to the public.

Tickets are now on sale for the Overbrook Dance Theater in Concert XXVII being held Friday and Saturday, April 4-5 at 7:30 p.m. in Overbrook Theater. Presented by the MCC Center for Theater, the concert will feature the works by alumni and current students, along with two new works in progress from Muskegon Dance Company, MCC’s resident dance company. Tickets are $10 for the public and $5 for MCC students, staff, and alumni.
