Employees Engaged in DEIB Discussions on 3rd Fridays

In support of our Equity priority and strategic plan goal #4 to “Create an inclusive culture of understanding and respect towards diversity,” the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is facilitating a series of conversations with faculty and staff about how Muskegon Community College defines diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) and what it means to MCC’s culture.

Employees will be engaged in the conversations the third Friday of each month January through April and will discuss how DEIBs play an active role in helping all students, community members, and employees know that they have a place at MCC.  In addition to discussing the definitions, we will seek employee input about how we manifest these concepts in our daily work and how it can improve institutional effectiveness and student success.
