Admission Requirements

New and Re-applying Students:

Please choose the right application form for you, based on whether you are a new, returning, or guest student. All of these forms are web-based and designed to be filled out securely on the Internet.

If you plan to attend Muskegon Community College in an apprenticeship, please complete the online application. Regulations determine the number of apprentices in any  trade which is a negotiated item in labor contracts or is set by the Bureau of  Apprenticeship and Training; it is not a decision of the College. Questions regarding  approval for apprenticeship programs should be directed to the apprenticeship coordinator.

If you have never attended Muskegon Community College you will need to complete a New Student Admission Application. Please make sure that you follow the application checklist to ensure a smooth transition from applying to registering for classes.  You may enter Muskegon Community College at any of three points in the year:

Fall Semester (August/September)
Winter Semester (January)
Summer Semester (May-August)

(Note that some classes on campus, such as Continuing Education and apprenticeship classes, do not necessarily begin with the regular starting date of each semester.)

If you plan to attend Muskegon Community College after your session as a Dual-Enrolled/Direct Credit/Early College student, please complete another New Student Admissions Application for the upcoming semester once it’s available. You need to create another application (not application account) choosing a new academic program as a college student.  If you have any questions or problems please visit your programs web page or call Admissions at admissions@muskegoncc.edu or 231-777-0366.

You will need to complete the online admission application in addition to the Sponsor Authorization Request Form. Forms must be signed by the student and employer.  To secure payment for class, the Sponsor Authorization Form must be sent each semester. Processing time is up to three business days.
